Recently discovered a great Filipino restaurant that quickly became one of my top choices in Union City. The food is consistently delicious, and the casual and comfortable ambience adds to the overall experience. The wait staff is super helpful and awesome at providing helpful recommendations depending on what i'm looking for In particular I'm a giant fan of their Rice Meal/Silogs for ~ 16. It's a ton of awesome food (with a lot of meat) + soup + drink and I'm never able to finish completely (it's approximately more than 2 chipotle burritos of food in total) In addition I really appreciate their hospitable and friendly service . I was able to quietly read a book while eating in the back on my second visit. They have a ton of different foods if you're looking to explore beyond some of the more common dishes you find in the Bay Area, then this is the perfect place to do so! I also want to mention how much I love their desserts like the banana con hielo and hoping I can try the Maja Blanca next time I go as they were out of that + balut the second time. Nonetheless, this restaurant has become one of my top choices for good and affordable Filipino food, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

We always eat here and never had a bad experience. We've tried their pansit, binagoongan, adobo, fresh fried chicharon, ginataan kalabasa, laing, sisig, Leche flan and halo halo. All are so delicious. Plus they have unlimited rice. Service is quick special rice refill. Never disappoint us. Price is reasonable.

Looking for good Filipino food, this is one of our 3 top choice. The food is consistently delicious, ambience is casual, comfortable, and infused with Filipino aesthetic. It is also easy to explore other dishes you may not have tried before for two reasons: photos of dishes are next to each item's name & the very knowledgeable wait staff. They'll tell what you need to know! One unique menu item are the bilaos - (bee-lah-oh) meals. It's a bamboo platter with a variety of meats, seafood, veggies, poultry. It's perfect for big groups. It comes with unlimited white rice! Over the years we've tried many of the ala carte dishes, too. We haven't been disappointed. Some dishes come with free rice. 1-2 dishes would be perfect for 3-4. Order more to enjoy these at home! Service is always hospitable & friendly, a truly Filipino trait. When we ate there, today, the server checked-in at least 2x in the hour we dined. They are accustomed to big parties, & tables can be moved easily to fit everybody! If you've never tried Filipino cuisine or want to try more than pancit, lumpia, & adobo this is the perfect place!

Parilya is a very accommodating and hospitable restaurant! The food served for our large party was delicious! From the crispy shanghai rolls, to the chicken inasal, the flavors are memorable. Thank you Parilya for having us! Our grandpa would have loved this place.

Update: Parilya is now a siting-down restaurant instead of fast food type. They have more menu available - I think the menu is the same as its sister restaurant, Isla. We went for lunch at 1:15pm and was seated immediately. We ordered chicken inasal (came with steamed rice), bangus silog (with rice, soup & soft drink), and halo halo. - chicken inasal: DELICIOUS 5pcs of sweet grilled chicken. The best chicken inasal in east bay imo. The meat was tender & flavorful. The sauce was definitely the winner for me. It came with a bucket of steamed rice - good for 2 people - bangus silog: 3 pcs of crispy bangus, sunny side up egg & soup. The fish were super crispy. But each piece was on smaller size. The vinegar sauce & tomato gave fresh bright taste to the dish. Super good! - halo halo: good but not worth $10 for me. The menu seemed more expensive now but I'll still come to have the chicken inasal!
